Fixed asset management

Automate depreciation and keep every asset accounted for, from acquisition to disposal.

What it is

Fixed asset management for nonprofits

Buildings, vehicles, equipment, and technology are often a nonprofit's largest investments, and many of them were paid for with restricted or capital campaign dollars. NonProfit+ fixed asset management, built on Acumatica, follows each asset from acquisition through disposal and calculates depreciation automatically.

You can create assets one at a time, import existing records, or convert eligible payables purchases into assets without keying them again. Additions, transfers, splits, adjustments, and disposals all stay with the asset record, so you always know what you own, what it's worth, and how it got there.

  • Automate depreciation with predefined or custom methods by asset class.
  • Turn eligible purchases into asset records with no duplicate entry.
  • Keep separate books for financial, tax, and reporting purposes.
  • Hold costs for assets under construction until they're placed in service.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How is depreciation calculated?

Depreciation is calculated from the method, useful life, recovery period, and averaging convention set for each asset or asset class. You can use predefined schedules or custom methods and process many assets in one batch.

Can we keep separate books for financial and tax reporting?

Yes. Each book can use its own method and calendar. Some books post to the general ledger, while non-posting books let you model alternative scenarios without affecting the GL.

Can it track leased or granted assets?

Yes. Owned, leased, rented, and granted property are all supported, including assets you lease or rent to others, with settings organized by property type.

Do fixed asset periods stay in sync with the general ledger?

Yes. When general ledger periods change on the master financial calendar, the matching fixed asset periods update automatically.
